Tom Grady earned his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Emporia State University. Tom has also earned a Master of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Emporia State University and a Master of Science in Adult, Occupational and Continuing Education from Kansas State University. He has also earned 18 plus graduate hours in psychology courses. In addition to serving as the Faculty Director, Center for Teaching Excellence, Tom teaches courses in the psychology department.

Prior to coming to Kansas City Kansas Community College, he was a full-time psychology faculty member at Allen Community College and Neosho County Community College. While at Allen Community College, he earned the institution’s Outstanding Faculty Award and in 2004 earned the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence in Teaching Award. Most recently, Tom was the faculty development coordinator at Johnson County Community College from 2007 until December 2016. Serving in this role, he planned and organized the professional development opportunities for the full-time and adjunct faculty. Tom was also an assistant cross country/track & field coach at Emporia State University from 1996-1998 and at Allen Community College from 1998-2000.

Tom serves on the board for the Kansas City Professional Development Council and is the campus liaison for the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development.
